God, I'm loving this site... Can you imagine the shadows this would cast!
Oh and.... these too!
It's official - Sarah and I have signed up for yoga teacher training :)
In just 10 months, we'll have our RYT 200 certification under the Yoga Alliance and be able to teach anywhere in the US - all thanks to Zarnay Yoga!
nice logo huh? wink... http://www.zarnayyoga.com
Classes start July 13th and meet once a month. We ordered our books online yesterday and I hate to say it but I'm a little nervous about all this required reading - haven't been required to read anything in over 4 years!

Now here is an example of when an all-flash site really pays off.
I've been digging this fabulous threesome's site for some time now and finally have the venue to rave out loud.
The creative minds behind Also - Matt Lamothe, Jenny Volvovski and Julia Rothman - never cease to amaze me. They add such a playful undertone to every project while keeping their work sleek and professional. Living my dream of running their own, successful design shop, the RISD alums span New York and Chicago and take on drool-worthy clients like Etsy and design*sponge.

Definitely check out their site but remember - if you need some design work done, you can always check out www.jessicasutton.com... nothing like a little shameless self-promotion!

taken by scandblue - just lovely
it's been a rainy start to the week... hopefully the sun will be back soon.

there's a plethora of frozen deliciousness in your freezer :)
mmmmmn freezepops!
It's always the things you hate at first that you end up loving the most...

Eka-pada-rajakapotasana - Andrzej Radka
Pigeon used to be my most dreaded pose... now, I look forward to it like nothing else.
It was a good class this morning. Dave came and slid all over his mat - need to get him a yogitoes... actually, maybe I'll give him my old one and I'll indulge in a new, deity one - love the ganesha!

Before class, I sprayed my Chakra 2 body mist from Aveda on my mat and an hour into class, when we finally got to lay down, it was the best little surprise of a fragrance - must do it again!
Hope you're having a great weekend!!

a made bed & clean workspace make.
mom would be proud :)
Every once in a while, I get into a funk where all I want to do is sleep - I get all lethargic and lazy, down on life.... Usually this happens when I take an impromptu hiatus from all things active...
Well, stubborn me insists on waiting until becoming alllmost clinically depressed until the light bulb goes off yelling at me to "GO TO YOGA!". Then, I inevitably go and return home, sweaty as all hell, happy as a clam.

Well tonight, Keyse, Sarah and myself braved the 105ยบ baptiste studio to sweat out all the funk and wring out our toxins... nothing in the world beats hot yoga. And, of course, we all left saying "we should do it every week!", all glowy in our happy bodies :)
Anyways, that's all I've got. I feel good and feeling good makes you want others to feel good! Go be active. It's truly the only way to stay sane.
wow. it's midnight. sleep tight!

oh and btw, if you're a yogi and live in the Haverhill area, my mom just opened a new studio, right on Merrimack St.!
check out www.zarnayyoga.com for more info (...and yes, I'm in the process up updating the site - geesh!)
While out shopping at Copley yesterday, I swung into the Aveda store because I live for their tea and they always give you a free cup while you shop (not to mention, their products are amazing). I was greeted by a sweet sales lady who treated me to a wellness massage and the afore-mentioned tea... Needless to say, she got a great sale out of me.

my new favs: Chakra 2 Balancing Body Mist & Blue Oil Balancing Concentrate... apparently I need to be balanced!
But anyways, the point of this story is how impressed I am with their eco-conscious, well, everything! Since I was shopping with my canvas tote, my entire purchase was dicounted - then I happened to notice a jar of milk/bottle caps and asked what they were for... well get this - for every 25 caps you bring in, you get a free deluxe Aveda sample. Since caps can't be reprocessed like bottles, they end up in landfills and worse yet - the bellies of our beloved sea-animals. Aveda is collecting them and recycling them into caps for their limited-edition retro Clove Shampoo bottles that come out this fall!

To participate, visit aveda.com/stores to find an Aveda store location near you.
Or mail in your caps to:
