So it's decided that whoever find me this poster/painting will win my heart forever...

One of my favorite songs from my favorite Beatles-era (sorry dad & brother, I know you guys are more of a yellow-submarine-period fans)... seriously though, this rocks my socks more than anything I've ever posted on this blog before.

that is all.

aspirations...

Every time I see a candid picture of Brigitte Bardot, she always seems to look effortlessly radiant. I'm thinking this may be a new goal of mine.

the curious case of the missing summer...

Ok so today marks the umteenth consecutive rainy day in Boston. It's June. It should be sunny and breezy and my cute summer wardrobe should be making appearances all over the city...

This needs to end.
I want my summer.
I want THIS summer:

inked...

I've long had the itch to get another tattoo - especially seeing as how the one I already have is in an indiscreet place and was born as a form of rebellion on a rather lame trip to Hawaii when I was 18... Alas, the one I dream of still hasn't happened since a) it will cost a lot, b) it will take forever and c) I can't take the time to make a 2-minute call to book an appointment (aka I'm lazy)...

ANYWAYS, I came across Kristina Collantes's Portfolio on Behance last night and after purusing her lovely patterns and impressive posters, I saw her dope (yes I just said dope) tattoo gallery and, well, I had to share.... drool.

What's the dream tattoo I've been dilly-dallying on you ask? Well, once I finally get it, I'll post it on here and you can see for yourself ;)

Oh my gosh, these pictures of Jessica Stam in Feb 07's Harper's Bazaar are magical! The light is perfect and the dresses... well the dresses are beyond stunning.

Man, I would give anything to be waking up to some nice waves instead of a slew of meetings this morning...

knobs a plenty...

Ever since my first apartment, in Boston's Bay Village, I've had a thing for glass doorknobs.

Alas, our new apartment is too "new" to have come equipped with such lovely vintage accessories but one can still daydream...

well hello...

Hola amigos!

I'm officially back and I can't thank my guest bloggers enough for all their hard work and insightful posts these past two weeks. Vic, Keyse, Amy and Liana totally killed it and will hopefully be checking in with more of their inspiring finds in the future :)

Yes, my tan is already fading and it's snowing here in Boston but I'll leave you for now with a pic of my last sunset in Costa Rica. Nothing like a little daydreaming...

Will try to get back on the blogging wagon asap!

on the block...

Breathtaking art with it's own place in history, tinged with melancholy...

This weekend brought the public viewing of items going up for auction at Christie's from the great Yves St Laurent, and his partner, Pierre Berge's private collection at the Grand Palais in Paris. The two were collectors of Mondrian, Picasso and Goya to name a few, and diligently accumulated incredible furniture and objects over the past 40 years.

Over 30,000 people came to admire, but only the highest echelons of the art world will actually be able to afford a piece of YSL. The collection is estimated to warrant about $400 million for 773 lots, which has been severely downgraded due to the fragile state of the fine art market. To only be a bidder on a beautiful piece with some history behind it.
