brigitte bardot... oh if I could emulate her perfectly easy style forever, I would.
I won't post them here because I'm sure, as a mother, Hally Barry doesn't want pictures of her daughter posted all over the internet but I just have to say, she is so cute it hurts :)

Wish I knew who took this, found it through ffffound.com (anyone know how to get invited onto it? such a cool idea.) So sad that polaroids are a thing of the past now. I do, however, really want a pogo - similar concept but update to fit our digital culture. Geesh, always wanting something new and shiny....

Anyways, I hope you all have a great relaxing long weekend!

perfect harmony by Espen Lodden
I skipped yoga tonight and didn't do all the work I told myself I'd do in it's place... Is there harmony in that? possibly - if I look hard enough.
goodnight!

This bed, posted on An Indian Summer, is totally calling my name today. I love the metal paneling on the wall... and marble platform... such a statement :)

just needed a breather :)
Anyone else out there on me.dium?

I just updated my Firefox and signed up for yet ANOTHER social networking site... but this one looks really cool (?). I guess it stays open in your browser's toolbar and links up all your sites (facebook, blogger, gchat..) and shows you who's online and you can instant message, see share links, etc.
Anyways, I'm a little confused with it. Let me know if you're on it and, well, get it?!? thanks!
So my fab friend, Keyse, posts some of the most kick-ass craigslist finds over at her blog, Crocodile Tears... Being a loyal reader and friend, I scope out her postings daily and drool over most, wishing to god that we had a bigger apartment to fit all the eclectic furniture in...
Needless to say, she posted this beautiful desk from the 60's last week and I had to scoop it up!

"How much" you ask? ummm a mere $80!!! serious score.
Considering I'm about to spend the majority of my days at my computer, I figured I'd be much better off with some desk space and a chair that my feet can touch the ground at (my old setup was pub-table-height, not too conducive to good posture). Now all I need it some cute fabric to recover the vinyl with and I'll be good to go!
"What did you do with the old desk?" you ask? Well, we actually put it over the old microwave stand, giving us some much-needed extra counter space! clever clever...

Thanks, Natalie Dee, for making me smile today :)

hehe...
I come to you today with exciting news...
After a lot of thought and consideration, I've decided to finally go full-time freelance!

catmadogma
As of September 1st, I will be ending my full-time position as the Senior Web Designer at Fresh and staying on as a part-time Web Consultant, hence opening up my week to focus on my main priority - my clients :)
Fresh has by-far been the most amazing job I ever could have asked for and the fact that they are so willing to support my decision is amazing. I've adopted such a wonderful family there and am so thrilled to be able to stay on and maintain their site while I pursue my own business. The lessons I've learned as a designer for Fresh have been priceless, a million thanks goes out to them.
So now it's time for the scary stuff to begin... I've been patiently building toward this day for four years now, slowly growing my client base and it's finally here - so completely surreal! The stars have been aligning quite perfectly and I couldn't be more excited to take this next step in my professional life.
So wish me luck! I'm sure you'll be hearing a LOT more from me now that I'll be sitting at home in front of my massive monitor all day :)
xoxo
