test drive...

So after months of refusing to give in, I finally did and test drove some harem pants today. While I'll admit, they are kinda cute, the pleats left me feeling a little pear-ish. Dave hates them. I'm on the fence. Although, my gawwd are they comfy!

thoughts?

oh and don't fret about me just yet - I dropped all of $6 on them at an EXPRESS sale :)

what goes around...

All these photos are by John Rawlings for Vogue in the 1950-60's... crazy how fashion really does repeat itself. The second one down is from 1945 - love the sandals, belt, cropped jacket...

I just saw this bed over on This is Glamorous and it totally brought out the uber-girl in me. so pink. so girly. so comfy. Too bad Dave would never let me get away with this.

terrific tapestry...

I just saw this post of Paolo Feliciano's photography over on Desire to Inspire and while the tapestry is what initially drew my attention (as you all know, I'm a huge elephant fanatic), I eventually found myself totally in love with this interior as a whole. The use of color and mix of textures are so inviting...

... kinda in love with the red light fixture too :)

whooga whooga...

This just in: the lovely folks over at Whooga have offered a special discount to all Daucus Carota readers!

ugg boots

Whoogas are unique because they use the finest Merino sheepskin for their inner lining, making them a longer-lasting, more comfy boot than their ugglier-named competitor...

I'm personally digging the tall grey ones :)

Check 'em out! The code, JESSICASUT will knock $30 off your order and is valid through 8/12/09... happy shopping!

So we finally did it! We finally made it to the #1 spot on Facebook's Networked Blogs: Top 10 blogs of Boston!!!

Crazy to think it was just seven months ago that we were in the #7 spot!

Thanks to everyone who became a fan (if you haven't yet, click here) and thanks for reading this little outlet of mine as much as you do :)

the curious case of the missing summer...

Ok so today marks the umteenth consecutive rainy day in Boston. It's June. It should be sunny and breezy and my cute summer wardrobe should be making appearances all over the city...

This needs to end.
I want my summer.

I just stumbled across the dual-portfolio of Kim Joonhyun and Minjoo Kwon, joon-june.com, and am blown away by their ideas... check these out:

i'm your air...

I must say that this site/music video is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen on the web. The song is called “Soy Tu Aire” which means "I'm Your Air" by Labuat.

What a stunning use of interactivity and music... Many props to Labuat and Sony for being so creative.
Anyways, you MUST click and play the song through to the end.

A million thanks to the forever rad miss Kati for sending me this link. You truly made my Thursday :)
