When we moved into our apartment in February, the front garden was nothing more than snow and trash. Once it melted, I went in and weeded out the dead leaves and garbage and low and behold, a bunch of tulips sprouted, making for a welcome site in April.
Once the tulips passed their prime, another bush started getting taller and taller and, well, pretty much took over... cut to my most favorite surprise this spring, my peonies:
Yes, they are RIGHT outside our bedroom window and I couldn't be happier! Many thanks to whoever planted them a few seasons back :)
I just spotted this clever little idea on poppytalk and it reminded me of beach blanket I made once by sewing together old beach towels... man I wish I had a pic of that!
Anyways, I love the concept and am tempted to make my own runner out of some old, mis-matched cloth napkins!
My best friend (and sometimes guest-blogger), Vic, visited from Williamsburg last weekend and took a bunch of photos of me, Dave and little Oscar for her lighting class... I think they came out pretty cute! enjoy :)
I've long had the itch to get another tattoo - especially seeing as how the one I already have is in an indiscreet place and was born as a form of rebellion on a rather lame trip to Hawaii when I was 18... Alas, the one I dream of still hasn't happened since a) it will cost a lot, b) it will take forever and c) I can't take the time to make a 2-minute call to book an appointment (aka I'm lazy)...
ANYWAYS, I came across Kristina Collantes's Portfolio on Behance last night and after purusing her lovely patterns and impressive posters, I saw her dope (yes I just said dope) tattoo gallery and, well, I had to share.... drool.
What's the dream tattoo I've been dilly-dallying on you ask? Well, once I finally get it, I'll post it on here and you can see for yourself ;)
I just stumbled across Margarita Sapala's site via Paper-Doll and am totally digging the dresses in their SS09 collection! What I would give to have them in my closet this summer :)
This weekend marks the ever-fun and fabulous SOWA Open Studios!
Camilla and I will have our doors open so swing by 46 Waltham Street, suite 205a!
While you're in the area, be sure to sure to say hello to two of my fav girls, Miss Jen of JHill Design and Miss Keyse of Flauxy!
Then, on Washington, the fab girls at Parlor will be open with a whopping 50% off the entire store!
Also, don't forget to check in and share the love with Miss Audra at the beautiful Looc Boutique on Union Park too (their spring selection is BEYOND drool-worthy!!)...
2009 has certainly been flying by. loving the past few days of sunny, breezy mid-sixties :) Heather Marks in Vogue Germany March 2007, via Model Couture
