HOW Conference - day 2

Today started off with a presentation by Adobe that taught me things I never knew were even possible... Like, for instance, did you know you could embed movies (and swf files) in an InDesign pdf? yeah, me neither. Also - did you know you can edit that same quicktime movie in Photoshop? yeah, you heard right - Photoshop! You can open .mov files and add text, edit levels, even retouch frames. Pretty impressive stuff.

I also got the chance to see Kelly Goto of gotomedia.com speak about getting "unstuck" and moving from "web 1.0 - web 2.0"... It was really inspiring and only further proved that I need to find a good programmer to work with as my freelance load keeps growing. She asked us where we feel stuck and, well, I actually feel like I'm still stuck in "web 0.0" to be honest... So then and there I decided - it's time to become fluent in css. I promptly swung by the bookstore and picked up:



My goal is to read it by the end of the week. In it's entirety. Hahah... we'll see.

Off to bed - I'm catching the "Greatest Photoshop Show on Earth" at 7:30 am tomorrow!
