you've got mail...

interesting "junk-mail wallpaper" exhibit/project titled SPAMGHETTO – kinda catchy.

you can view the photos on flickr or visit this site

from the flickr page: "... instead of sweeping spam under the carpet, we decided save some junk-mail in order to turn it into a wallpaper for your house before it's too late: someday a brilliant scientist will find the definitive solution to eradicate from the web the bittersweet pleasure of spam."

enjoy the pictures below!

it's been a while...

My apologies for not blogging the past 5 days - we have an adorable new addition named Oscar who I will post pics of soon (if you're impatient, you can view some here)... Anyways, I'm hoping to get back on the blogging wagon soon - just waiting for my schedule to somewhat return to a (new?) normal.

In the meantime, I saw this on ffffound tonight and it resonated with me... so true:

be back soon... xx

skinny ships...

I've recently fallen in love with another design blog: Grain Edit (follow them on twitter here). They posted a great bit on Richard Perez yesterday and I just had to share - his use of color and typography is great!

a whole lot of walking to do...

Once again, I'll be participating in Project Bread's Annual Walk for Hunger. This year snuck up on me - literally - as it's only 11 days away (next Sunday)! I set my goal at $500 but let's see if we can beat it, shall we?

D O N A T E !

oh and if anyone feels like walking the 20 miles with me next week, say the word!

loving lulu...

It's always when I make the decision to stop shopping and buckle down like a good little girl for a while that I stumble across a cute, affordable shop like Lulu (via PunkyStyle's twitter) that makes me want to throw all those responsible notions out the window.

With the majority of their pieces under $60, it makes it hard not to justify a little shopping spree...

Here are some of my favs :)

be mine, madeline...

I just spotted Katie Madeline's work over at Design for Mankind and am swooning!
LOVE it...

tie me up...

I always used to have so much fun picking out crazy ties for my dad on his birthday/father's day/christmas. I stopped after he had more ties than occasions to wear them but after seeing these, I might just start up again...
